Frequently Asked Questions

If this page doesn't answer all your questions, feel free to send me an email.

Who can I work with?
  • Pre-school and primary aged children (3-14yrs old).

  • Children with neurodivergent diagnoses up to age 18.

Do I need a referral from a doctor?
  • No. Anyone can contact me to make their own enquiries into attending play therapy. This could include parents/guardians, teachers, professionals. Consent to work with a child must be signed by legally responsible parents/guardians.

Do you have a waiting list?
  • At this time, there is no waiting list.

Are your sessions covered by insurance?
  • I have no affiliations with insurance companies, but once sessions are agreed, I can supply you with a letter to confirm the agreement which can be used to support your own enquiries to insurers or employers.

How much does play therapy cost?
  • A play therapy session costs 85 euros which includes the use all resources, planning and preparation and admin time.

  • Review sessions cost 85 euros.

  • Parent consultation sessions cost 100 euros per hour.

How long are sessions?
  • Sessions with your child last 45 minutes.

  • Parent reviews and consultations last 1hr.

How long is the therapy process?
  • It is not always possible to predict how long the therapy process will need to last as each child has different needs. The initial agreement for sessions is for 12 consecutive (if possible) sessions which will occur at the same time each week. By week 8, it will be easier to give a better idea of how long the process might last.

How involved are you as parents/guardians?
  • Therapy sessions for your child often work best when there is commitment made by the parents to review and consultation sessions. How regularly these occur will be discussed together with you.
